Mr Death Panel has the balls to speak about conflicting messages, please, bargain in good faith or get rolled over, either way Americans voted for President Obama and health care reform was a big part of his platform.

  • ProgressiveAction10 says:

Conservatives have nothing intelligent to say, so they shout over those who do.

They have no ideas and nothing to contribute, but they blindly attack every Obama proposal.

They promised security, but let 9/11 happen.

They promised prosperity, but turned surpluses into deficits and caused the greatest financial crisis since the 1930s.

They promised freedom, but cheered the Patriot Act and other restrictions of basic rights.

Still confused why you lost all credibility?

  • DillonX says:

Barack – STOP TALKING TO GRASSLEY – He’s not gonna vote for the final bill anyway!

  • rockytopfarm says:

Wrong! it was “not” the repubs. that slowed the healthcare bill down it was (blue dog dems.) i will state again: the dems. have control of house & senate, they proved that with the stimulus package. The repubs. are to blame also for past crap! but, the truth is THE DEMS. COULD PASS HEALTH CARE VERY EASY WITH A FULL HOUSE & SENATE! BUT, THE “BLUE DOG DEMS.” ARE NOT GOING FOR IT! people like to point fingers (when the real trouble is in there own party)

  • Richardgwm says:

    Grassley will not be re-elected.

The people of Iowa are much to smart to fall for his lies.

  • 729Drew says:

Exactly, and when you bring this stuff up to Conservatives they shrug it off like its no biggie. Or say its all “Made up” by the Liberal Media. I cant tell you how many times i’ve hear that excuse.

But when the shoe’s on the other foot, everything Conservative Media reports is absolute Gospel. Hypocracy at its finest.

Conservatives play the “Liberal Media” card like some African Americans still play “The White Man” card.

  • sucktastic says:

I think Grassley needs to look up the word “irony”.

  • 7jerryv7 says:

You missed the whole point of the argument.

  • 7jerryv7 says:

In the future economic activity and the allocation of resources will be designed for the public good, not for greed. We are not yet there but are moving in this direction.

Why should people pay for those who cannot afford health care? Because economic resources should be used to advance the public good, not private greed.

  • 7jerryv7 says:

Rush Limbaugh was very good at launching these attacks against Bill Clinton in the 1990′s.

Unfortuantely, people have short memories. Scooter Libby protected the Bush Administration from prosecution for outing the CIA agent. Also, there is plenty of evidence that Bush started Gulf War II under false pretenses (Downing Street memo was the nail in the coffin). I think it is critical to bring important facts back to the public dialogue in the next election.

  • Smartassawhip says:

I think we should NUKE EM! Most of them are working for the insurance companies and big pharma anyway.. and they should be working for us.

If you are still confused about the health care bill you may find the information on my profile in the comment section helpful. Also included are ways in which you can get more involved including phone #’s, petitions etc..

  • 729Drew says:

I hope it hurts Republicans more…they deserve it after this. It was absolutely necessary to slow down the Healthcare Bill and allow the American Citizens to get in on the talks, but to spread propaganda and lies about “Death Panels” and complete Gov’t Takeovers was ludicris.

It was flat out propaganda, they say it…repeat it until the People start regurgitating it…then the politicians quietly back off from it allowing the people to look foolish.

  • henleythecat says:

What a silly ass excuse. He is telling people that he can’t do his job because the HHS Secretary who he doesn’t work for is saying some he can’t follow.

And we pay for this guy?

  • 7jerryv7 says:

    Very good points Drew.

There will be a vote on health care reform. The actual bill content and the voting record will impact the 2012 elections. The dems still have a supermajority in the Senate.

Based on history the Dems will loose seats in 2010, but the recession will probably ease by then, allowing the dems to take credit. However, I have serious doubts Obama will loose in 2012.

The PR blitz might kill health care reform but the fallout might hurt Rep more than Dems.

  • MyImago says:

    Public Option Save a Trill
According to the Economist the total US spend on health care is 15.4% of GDP including both state and private. With that it gets 2.6 doctors per 1,000 people, 3.3 hospital beds and its people live to an average age of 78.2. As a whole Europe spends 9.6% of GDP on health care, has 3.9 doctors per 1,000 people, 6.6 hospital beds and live until they are 81.15 years old. If we would model the European health plan we would save 1 Trillion Dollars a year. 1 Trillion !!!
